Two trains collided at Hyderabad Kacheguda station earlier this morning at 10:30 AM. At least 10 people were injured in the collision. No casualties have been reported till now.
Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train crashed into Kongu express that was waiting on the platform.
The injured were rushed to the nearby Osmania General hospital.
The collision happened due to a signal fault. Thankfully, both the trains were running at a low speed reducing the impact of the crash.
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal Tweeted, “Received the tragic news of the train accident in Hyderabad & immediate instructions have been given to the authorities for assistance & monitoring. Railway administration is extending assistance & have made arrangements for the treatment of the injured at the accident site.”
